If you have any questions about it I'd love to help, any time. It's turn based, which is different from every other game being listed. I think the beginning survival period is utterly compelling. Neo Scavenger released in 2014, but I didn't start playing it until a few months ago.
Stranded Deep - Great atmosphere stranded on ocean with multiple islands in sight. SubNautica - SciFi Stuck in the middle of the ocean The Forest - Horror Themed on an Island good wilderness survival I will also list some more with a brief description and if you have any questions about them let me know. Only downside to me is that most of your survival is based around what you find in abandoned cabins and what not. It has a nice aesthetic style and atmosphere and alright survival mechanics. If this is a problem then I would recommend The Long Dark. The only downside to those two games (in some peoples eyes) is that they are lacking in graphics. Despite that, there are still very well played wilderness survival mechanics, as well as an interesting storyline and dedicated developers. This one is a bit more user friendly than UnReal world but takes place in a post-apocalyptic setting. The second game I would recommend is NeoScavenger. The only downfall to this game is it takes a bit of time to learn the UI and control scheme, but once you get it down its very fun. Its setting is based around early danish(if I remember correctly) history where there are a bunch of tribes scattered around. One is Unreal World, which is a hardcore survival game where you are dropped in the middle of a forest with no goal, just survival. Any suggestions?Įdit: Note: It's not the same game as The Sims Castaway Stories, which is not a survival game that is on PC.Īlright so i've got two games for you if your a survival nut. I can only hope EA makes another version of this Sims and no other Sims compares because it plays so differently. You could stay on the first island, catering to your needs and living off what you could for as long as you want. There's exploration and discovering the civilisation that inhabited the island before, but none of the progression is forced. Starting out building terrible little shacks that need constant reparation, trying to catch that damned chicken, to building elaborate jungle mansions, stripping the jungle dry. The progression in this game is what makes it my favourite survival game. The game features great building and resource management, it's a true survival game where you start off with a single member until you eventually find your whole crew of 4 on various islands. It's only available for the Wii and PS2, both are completely underpowered systems which limit how much you can build later on in the game. Survival is by far my favourite category and I've played quite a few survival games, but in my opinion, none of them compare to this game.
